How can I hook up a pad and will it work?

I just started playing this game in my dorm and now I'm seriously considering buying a pad and a usb converter. Will that work? Has anyone tried it yet?

I would strongly not recomend it
because of how the engine works, you will get an emence ammount of BOO's, just get www.stepmania.com if you want to play with a pad

well you can turn off the repeate factor on the keyboard.. it has been done.. you have to know how..

find the walkthrough if u really want to do it...
its not very good, the response is terrible, but if u really want to play ddr outside of the arcade, u will have to get a ps2 or xbox and a pad 4 that and a ddr game.
