well kid...ive gotten about 60 -70 of my AAA's in the past 2 weeks...ive been here since 03. you're not the only one that has bad AAA experiences...it'll come to you.. maybe

I guarantee if you played for at least an hour straight and played the same song over and over and over you could get a AAA. Start on the easy dance ones.....although I wouldn't recommend trying to AAA any of the Synthlight files at this point.

K, first off, you can't "do" Stepmania, you can play it. Second of all, don't listen to anyone that says not to play Stepmania. I've been playing on fingers for about 8 months now, and in the last 2 weeks I've started playing Stepmania. It's benefited a crap load for me. Try it out.

As far as your problem, just simply practice certain things you have trouble with. Everyone has problems in a certain area. AOD's prob is MA. Mine is left-handed patterns that aren't trills. Some people hate lotsa jumps. Some people miss because they lose focus. It's all up to you to address the issue that you have.

ding ding ding! No wonder you can't AAA, even for pro's, to get a decent AAA ratio, you need to have at least played more than 3 hours in a shot one day in your life, I mean, if you've never played more than an hour in one go and play on and off for years, then I'm surprised you can FC VC songs

Try playing more for a longer time in one go instead of a little time every day, or a little time every year...also, stepmania FTW!!

How is this accurate? I can AAA songs sightread after not playing for.. a week? And I can almost FC FGO's without playing for a long period of time too.

Also, I barely play for more than 20 minutes. So, I have a windmill in my beard, your hypothesis is invalid.

Stepmania is only worth while if you're really good , cause all the best files are really hard . It also can take up alot of space if you downloading a crapload of songs for it . Oh yeah , FFR 1 is easier to play then stepmania .

@TC...Lots of jumps are annoying for me, don't know why.

@Everyone else saying stepmania lolz. I do play SM, although not a lot (surprise omg) regardless, if it's devoting time per day to ffr that I need to get proz then...I don't know. Shooters or RPGs keep my attention more. I'll stick to using FFR to make people that have never seen it go "wtf ur so hax" etc etc and be bad to the ffr crowd. sounds good to me.

It took me a while until I actually tried to AAA something, just a few months ago. I used to play only challenging or above, I didn't like easy songs, and I could FC many of the hard ones but with no accuracy.

By the way...

if you have vista that'll make you auto-suck but otherwise just practice more and your pa will get better.

I'm a drummer too

And I'm not sure but...I don't have problems with certain parts of songs, i'll just randomly get a good every now and then. I'm sure if I played any one song that's a 10 or under for like 2 hours I could AAA it...but it bores me. Oh well. Thanks again everyone ;D

Um up that from one to five for five days a week for a month I promise a skill increase. Either that or you're to impatient to whore the song all the way.
