            Though I dont know how old you are, or the type of relationship you have with your mother, you can always try this :

You can tell her this is came from a grown man with two children. Parents need to remember that while thier child is still a child to them, you can think for yourselves. Dont start this conversation in anger, rather, walk up to her and calmlly say " Mom, I would like to talk with you about something bothering me if we can ". That should perk her attention to the fact that your serous about this. If she has an open mind, she will hear you out and maybe the two of you can somehow comprimise. If not, then you just have to wait untill you can move out on your own, something I ended up doing at 16 becuase my mother never respected my own independence.

                this is what i did. i just play in my room now. But even when i was playing FFR on the home computer, my key taps were loud but my mom and didnt mind.

                I also asked them to come over sometimes and watch me play and they were really impressed.

                Like someone said above, you need to sit down with her and compromise something. People were made to play FFR and your whore of a mother will not stop the legacy of fingering skillz

                    The people around me have gotten used to my keytaps, hehe.
                    I think it's a little better than before. When I used to play, my keytaps sounded like mush, and I pounded pretty hard too.

                                Damn, that's a bit extreme, but I know a lot of parents like that. A lot of my friends' parents do things similar to that, and have cruel and unusual punishments. Just tell her it's stress relief or something. lol

                                            Wow that sucks. Maybe do what one person did and put a towel under the keyboard, or do what the other person said and buy a less-noise-making one (I didn't even know those existed).

                                            I get to play in my room (secretly) so it doesn't matter. =) Though they'd hate it if they knew I played, and I can't blame them because in a way FFR is a gigantic waste of time.
