My parents got mad at me too. They also grounded me.
2 weeks later I went into an almost uncomprehendingly severe depressive state.
3 weeks later I am in a therapists office explaining it to him.
3 1/2 weeks later my parents feel really bad when the therapists informs them that they have basically taken away my "Only form of enjoyment and my major social outlet, as well as the thing that makes me feel good about myself"
4 weeks later I am back on FFR.

This was near when I first started. I don't actually think I have shared this story before on FFR. hmmm. Well now you know.

P.S. If it is possible, can an admin see what my longest period of inactivity was? If so, it should match the story almost to the day. lol.

You should get a laptop with wireless internet and go find a place where you can play without anyone disturbing you.

I plan to bring mine on the last day and blare R1.

I desensitized my mother to loud sounds over the years because the computer is in the kitchen (small apartment) and I'm always listening to music. It's like she doesn't even hear the keyboard.

I think some people really need hobbies outside the internet.

if you have to go to a therapist BECAUSE OF THE INTERNET then you're a really sad person.

i mean i get my share of internet time in a day, but i'm pretty positive i would survive without being clinically depressed if i were unable to use a flash game for a week and a half.

OP, my parents dislike the sound too, but i tell them to turn their tv on when i'm studying.
they dislike ultimatums, so they gave in.

1. It got me my internet back.
2. I suffer from severe depression and lack of self esteem and it only takes a little to push me over the edge. I take medicine now. It helps.
3. I get the feeling you don't like me a lot. A lot of your posts in threads that I post in are responses to me and usually involve some derogatory remark towards me.
