up and down and up and down!

Ok, so I'm having a hard time with most songs, and I figured out why! its because I keep pressing down instead of up and up instead of down. Is there a way to switch the places of the up and down icons so up is where down was and vice-versa?

That's not a good habit to get into, although you can if you wish. There is a settings menu you click on, on the right side of the menu screen. I think it says "Options" or "Settings" or something like that. Find keymapping on there, and set it to what you want.

Try some different scrolls. I use reverse AKA down.

I already tried keymapping, it actually is worse, also tried ever other scroll and all of em are worse.

What keys do you press? Do you play one-handed or two?

one handed, two is confusing. and i use the normal arrow keys

Seems to me like you just need to practice. Or experiment. Seriously, practice makes perfect.

it's confusing because you're using 1 hand. if you switch to 2 hands and play with 4 fingers, you'll get comfortable with it quickly and won't have this issue... since your brain won't have to think about which key needs to be hit. your fingers won't have to move.

also, your ability to improve will be much easier with 2 hands.

Honestly, to help a fellow one hander..
It's quiet easy to get over this.
I used to do this a lot until I started playing songs over and over until I could read it and my fingers reacted normally..
Thus why I can do what I can now.

Here, try this on for size.. Play 2 handed, use j for left. k for down, 5 for up, and 6 for right.

i think that only certain keyboard can do that. because i have a laptop and i don't have the nubers to the right like you do(i'm assuming that's what you meant). if you don't have that kind of keyboard, use s=left, d=down, i=up, l= right. others prefer jk instead of il, it's up to you. find something that is comfortable for you.

I confuse up and down with each other when i use up scroll >.> i usually use down scroll
