Hopefully the answer is not 'get XP'...
Maybe you're holding the keys for too long? Check your keyboard settings to see if the repeat rate is insanely high.

EDIT: Oh wait... Those would be boos right? =\ If they're perfect first then misses... Then I doubt it's a probleme with the keyboard, and probably not the OS neither.

i dont know why everyone keeps blaming vista for problems. ive had it since it came out and ive yet to come across any problems when playing ffr (no lag, no random misses, nothing). it may be because i have an insane computer but idk.

Same for me. But I do have an insane computer too. The lags are because most people don't have insane spec but Vista as their os. In exemple, 1 gb of ram with XP is plenty, 1gb of ram with Vista is more like 256 mb since Vista takes so much ram... And FFR seems to require much RAM in order to be able to play normal on songs with a lot of arrows (10-12 mostly). Before I changed computer it lagged a lot but I didn't had Vista. And I had 1 gb ram. Do the math. (Well my CPU wasn't much better but you get the point)

            Here's the thing.

My computer has Vista, about 2GB of RAM. I'm pretty sure the basic setup of my computer is not the problem, as last week I could play fine (although I still would love to blame my serious disproprtion of FCs to AAAs on Vista, haha.)

Earlier this week, it looked like they released some kind of patch or something -- at the beginning when the game loads it said something like '865Kb loading' before and now it's 874. Ever since then, no matter what song I play, I just get random misses. I'm 100% sure I'm hitting the notes on the dot. Seriously, I've FCed enough songs to know, so it's definitely not me. Like I said it even looks like it's being judged a Perfect then suddenly changing to misses.

Do any of the moderators/developers of the have any idea? Anyone I can PM perhaps since they might not be reading this thread? I can't play FFR anymore because this problem is so bad.

This happened to me a few days ago. I thought it was my KB's, but I switched to FF and FFR started working properly for me.

It's exactly the same thing with me, it started after the 874 kb thing.

I had this problem for 4 months and now I don't have it anymore. What I belive was the problem was my computer, not the keyboard. My computer was completly ****ed up (it eventualy caught on fire). Just go at a good computer store to see if your computer's O.K. When I changed my computer, the problem was gone.

P.S.: Note that I'm not sure that it will work. it's not because it worked for me that it will work for everybody.

Thanks, but I don't think it's the same problem.

Ex. Hits a jump, goes to hit a single note directly after it, keeps the jump held down a bit too long.
I know it, thanks. I've had this problem, but I already solved it by remapping the keys.

Attempt a mash FC. Just once. Attempt it. If you can mash FC, then all of the fault is in you and not the computer or the game.

In the event that mashing does not get you a mash FC, I don't know.
-make sure the keyboard registers quads
-make sure the keyboard registers jacks (fast ones)
                              -reinstall your flash software
                              -clear your cache

This problem is coming up too often for it to be something individual. (Although it hasn't happened to me once yet.)

I think.... Wireless keyboard, or a lagging computer.... I have wireless keyboard, and a lagging computer..... Happens often, but I manage.... I'm sure you will too
