I loaded up FFR after hearing there is a new purchase song and I got that... Then when I went back out to the main menu I see this weird yellow thing that I never EVER noticed before... Anyone got any idea what it is?

I always love it when something new happens and suddenly there are tons of people who come here, don't search, then post instantly thinking that their thread is the only one.
Try searching next time. Nobody yet knows why the sun is there though. Could be purely aesthetic, could be some higher reason. I'm sure in time we'll find out.Comment

Not everyone would call it that. Some would call it a sun. Try searching more accurately in future then.
What exactly is this thread if not exactly the same speculation. Just because one thread doesn't give the information yet doesn't mean that there needs to be a second thread.Edit: and that thread doesn't say what the sun is for really... just speculation.
If anything the thread that was made first is given priority and you post in that one until speculation clears.Comment

-_- Why are you so hostile about this. I said I looked and I didn't find so I posted. I didn't think that I was the only one with this thing or I wouldn't have posted on a forum to bring awareness... I was looking for a specific reason why it was there, not only did you not answer it but you directed me to threads that didn't answer it either.
I'm going to assume that the sun means that you have purchased all song available.
Note: I couldn't make it out as a sun because of how high res my monitor is... it's too damn small to see as a sun.

I dislike how people misinterpret straightforward talking with "hostility". No part of my post was attacking. I simply stated the facts.
The fact is that nobody knows what the sun is yet (apart from, of course, those higher up who put it in there in the first place). The fact is that there was already a thread about this subject and I was simply explaining the rules. The fact is that you don't need 2 threads trying to figure out the same thing.
I did answer your question by stating that currently there is only speculation concerning what it is. That is the truth and about the clearest answer you will get until someone further up like Tass or Synth actually comes down and says "this is what the sun means..."
