But, how does one hide their "comments" section? Is it possible to hide it without disabling comments altogether?

You can delete them so that only the first Synthlight post shows. Maybe that will be good enough?

Otherwise, like Babyvpr and yourself said, you can't hide them without disabling them.

I don't even see why you should be able to make your *public* comments *private* PMs exist, you know.
Oh and for giant chat conversations, which you seem to truly enjoy after a quick view at your comments, there's that thing called instant messenger, like MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, ICQ...

EDIT : Oh and seriously, some people need to learn how to make decent titles(why did I put a question mark here...) Titles aren't here to start up a sentence, no, they're supposed to give us the general idea of what you're going to say, the theme, the problem, the question, the subject, not 'Omg I know this question r so dumb'. If it's dumb we're not even going to check it out.
