Devonin I was obviously joking around about the awesome thing, I am not that arrogant. I know I am extremely advantaged, but I don't question it. I get things handed to me all the time, and why would I tell mom and dad to stop?

Mom is a cardiac surgeon and dad is a lawyer incase you were wondering. Anyways don't mind what I said about being awesome, lol.

Because from the looks of it, you're spoiled as hell... of course you're not going to tell them to stop, you're getting free stuff. Maybe when you're older and you aren't handed things for free you'll understand how important it is to not blow money on stuff as stupid as a fancy new monitor.

I do agree, though, that spending $700 on a monitor is bat**** crazy, especially when you can get a better monitor for cheaper. Spending money for the sake of spending money is definitely dumb.

Mom treats me like crap. It's dad who makes up for it by being so nice to me. Mom abuses me, yells at me, and kicks me out every time I do something bad. I don't usually get kicked out for long except that one time I was kicked out for 5 days straight. Adam (Smartdude1212) helped me get that all straightened out, though. =)

Like this weekend, I went to a race track (derby) and I jumped over the fence like 5 minutes before the race began. I wanted to say good luck to someone I knew before it started, but instead the security kicked us out and mom started hitting me in the face and leg when we got back into the van. What the hell did I do wrong. She said it's because I don't listen..but I do. -_-

EDIT: We ended up going home early because of that. Bleh.

Just my random thoughts on the entire thing.
You getting a better monitor helps... true.
But having more RAM / Better Video Card is WAAAY more effective.
If I were you, I'd save for a few weeks (at $250 a week for just babysitting and getting allowance is just wrong in my opinion, but all that has already been voiced, so I won't say it, considering I make just over double that for working 40+ hours a week)
Save up about $2000 and get an insane computer.
And that'll have a monstrous effect on your play, not to mention framerate for FFR and other stuff.
My comp cost me $1900, and that's because I put it together myself ordering the parts off of www.newegg.com.
If you have the technical know-how, build it yourself. You'll save 50% off of what dell.com or anyone else charges.

I got a very nice computer for my birthday. It has 2 gigs of RAM, 300 gigs of space, an NVIDIA GeForce 8100 mGPU. I can run games like World of Warcraft with no lag, and that's with everything maxed out in the graphics menu. While FFR...lags for me, on low quality. This has been happening a lot, which is dumb IMO. If I can run a game like that, I should be able to run a flash-based game with no problems.

Lag on Wow has nothing to do with computer specs. Honestly WoW is hardly even a system resource demanding game. Just need a good connection to have no lag. Might have low frames per second but thats not lag.
