Yeah, forgot about 96ths. Those exist too.
128ths and anything else don't though. I know you can edit the SM to make whatever you want, but they actually get replaced with the closest 192nd note.
edit (2nd edit actually): damn, both of you quoted me before I edited the post.Last edited by sc979; 10-11-2008, 08:21 PM....Comment

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Yes, but you can still put in whatever the hell you want... we're worried about what they're supposed to be (the composite rhythm) and not what they're rounded to.Comment

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Normally, they don't. But you can create any rhythmic value manually if you're willing to do so (if I'm wrong, can you clarify what you mean?)

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
like sc979 said any rhythms are actually defined as 192/x th notes on sm/dwi.
if you want exact 128ths, you should double the bpm and use 64ths.
for patashu: here's a pic of colored burst (the left is ingame one).

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Maybe we didn't know that beforehand. Also, the "arcade" genre was probably originally intended for old-skool games, or at least well-known ones. The whole genre seems a little weird after we count stuff like Touhou or beatmania as "arcade" games. IMO those kind of songs would fit better in a different category altogether.Comment

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Oh ok.
Necropotence is Touhou, but I guess that isn't being counted either, because it's not "arcade" like?
