Playing FFR with Vista

It just doesn't seem to work at all... is there any way I can get it to work without giving me as many goods as I have perfects and not even being able to get up to 500 combo?

Reformat to XP.

Personally, I know what you mean since I've been running Vista for more than a year and still am. I pretty much gave up on AAAs since I always get random goods and CBs.

I play on Vista, and it sucks ass. Lowers framerate by 12%, and disabling the Aero effect does no good. Get XP.

Hell, I gave up on AAAing songs after about 60...I started it on a computer with XP, and started AAAing like MrRubix. Really, it's all you can do.

Ehh... I'm not going to go buy XP just so I can play FFR again. Either microsoft can stop sucking or I can't play FFR anymore.

Stepmania is awful on vista as well. I'm not sure what the deal is. This is why i have 2 computers. One is xp and one is vista. Problem solved =D

I use a new Toshiba with Vista on it.
Lately I've been considering going back to xp but I I'm scared I wont be able to convert back to Vista if I ever wanted to use it again.

Yeah, it's not possible to fix the choppy framerate on vista for FFR, just start playing SM, it's really the only option aside from re-installing XP, which is a little expensive. Vista is fine for everything else other than FFR pretty much, and yet everyone says it sucks for some reason.

Although maybe in the near future Microsoft will release a service pack or something that fixes that.

I play on Vista I can see the lag but I'll have to deal with it.

Stepmania is also awful on vista. Even when i try and mess with global offset i get random perfects and greats on songs i can AAAA on my xp.

Vista pretty much sucks for anything. It's slow and laggy and since I play on my laptop with vista I haven't been able to AAA many songs because of random goods. I'll be glad if I get back home in a month and can play on my comp with XP again.

Maybe you changed the metrics incorrectly. Did you also change the language file?
