no matter what, keep practicing.

I play left arrow, down arrow,5, and 6. Ugh also try to learn about the color coordination of the FFr arrows like red blue and yellow, they are usually placed in color codes for example red blue red, or red yellow blue yellow red. They are usually placed in those spaces I guess

use 4 fingers for 4 keys... i'd recommend using the directional arrows to start, and once you're comfortable with those, then moving to re-mapped keys.

Using FFR's remap, I have to have numlock off. Also, I use gh56, so I guess maybe I'm odd.

ya adams right just keep practicing even if you feel like your not improving. thats the most important thing right there. use autofail too for a few songs so you get a sense of where to hit pefectssigpic
