I don't know too much about keyboards, but I've been laptop all the way, except for Crowdpleaser, which I needed desktop keyboards to do the vibrational index trick.

Logitech classic 200.

Laptop-style keys (well.. about half the height of desktop keys).

I don't remember if this is right since I can't seem to locate it, but I had an old (extremely old) apple II keyboard, and if I remember correctly, it has the keys set up all across in a row, although I'm not sure in what order. Any help on what this looks like would be nice.

I have a Nexxtech keyboard. It cost me $16, and was the best keyboard I ever used. Mine doesn't have the fancy buttons up top like the picture you posted towards the beginning, but it works great. Bought it at Circuit City.
