Seriously you guys.

Most people play FFR using spread, or other variants. I could name a few but I'm too lazy. I play in a very weird way that I've never heard of anyone else using.

I use the arrow keys. I use the pointer, middle, and ring finger on my right hand. I use the middle finger of my left hand.

So, I'm using three fingers on my right hand for Right, Up, and Down keys, and I'm using one finger on my left hand for the Left key.

I can do Chall. and VC leveled songs using this method.

Has anyone else heard of this, seen this, or used this before? When I first started I just used the method that seemed most pratical at the time, and it seemed to've just stuck.

I wasn't aware of this.. from his videos I had deduced he played 2 handed, 4 fingered. (arrow keys) :/

Not really.
I play pettanko on the arrow keys, and as a result, I wind up using 6 fingers actually. My left index finger supports my right hand, and my right index finger helps to keep my left hand fingers lower. I don't raise my fingers high on my right hand, so that's not a problem.

When I say "Do" I mean FC some, Get through some others, it really depends on the song. I just put that there so you people knew I wasn't completely horrible.

About the avatar comment, yeah, it's pretty freakin funny.

Shash's playing style isn't all that unique, I bet there are quiet a few people that play like that.

Whatever works I suppose. Mine works just great for me. I can't play any other way.

My guess would be because it's 1-3 fingers per hand instead of 2-2 and that it doesn't use keymapping...

But then again, that's actually pretty far off.

I guess I'm a "freak" in the sense that I usually play with four fingers on the arrow keys, and not by spread or index. I could actually play all styles pretty well, but I'm most comfortable with the arrow keys.

I wouldn't go as far as to compare all other styles to spread in terms of playing superiority.
