DDR Pad

Hey,

So, I have made a DDR pad for a gamecube/Wii into a DDR pad for the computer Go Engineering!

anyway, the mat works, if I press left, it hits left and so on.

I am going to post how to make any ddr pad be able to be used on a computer by usb. I am going to post this on www.instructables.com but not now, later, when I have time, check it out though.

Anyway, the problem that I am having is that when I hit a key, the key will repeat it self. so If I press left, I will hit left, then left again, and again, and so on until I take my foot off the left pad. I tried going to the control panel to turn this feature off, but the best I could do was to slow it down.

Does anyone know how to totally turn off the key repeat function?

My program might help - it specifically stops auto-repeat like that:

Don't know how you're mapping your pad to the cursors already - usually a pad appears as a game controller and you use a remapping program or script to make it trigger the cursor keys. You'll want to switch off any other program that you're using to do this, as my program does the remapping. If you're not using another program, then the "DirectInput for Keyboard" setting might work for you.

Umm, it was a gamecube mat that I had.

there isnt a gamecube plug that I can plug it into.

I had to wire up the connections to the correct keys myself

anyway, I solved my problem. To not repeat keys, go to the accessability options (green wheel chair person) and go to toggle keys, then go to filter keys and then settings. Choose Ignore repeated keystrokes. then you are good

I have a pad for my 360, will it just plug and play into my computer because it has a USB extension?
