IE won't play flash for me and there's no solution, so I have to play in Mozilla, which is a frame behind. On top of that, arrows aren't always on beat.

You pretty much have to play to the arrows for PA.

Keyboard with faster response time = better
Keyboard with slower response time = bad

A lot of people don't understand that there is in fact, a difference in keyboard delays. A good keyboard has <15ms of delay. Mine has around 40-50, which is pretty bad for rhythm games. As for dore/EW... well, my keyboard is bad, and I find their files late. That should be self-explanitory.

If turning off the music is required to get a better PA, I do so.

What kind of garbage keyboard are you using? Well over half the songs in FFR have an offset that's so late it makes me vomit all over my monitor.

Seriously, if your keyboard has that slow of a response time, I think you should invest in a new one. For example, if you find Naisyaodakunyan or Sensorium early, your keyboard is too slow. Also, if you find stepfiles from dore/ElectricWerewolf are synced, once more, your keyboard sucks.

It's just songs like Moonlight Sonata, and the few other songs like it, 20 was a bit...exaggerated.

Every time I see a dore/EW stepfile, I cringe because I know it's going to be extremely off sync.

usually their files are well-synced on SM.

I usually play to the rhythm when I think the song is good.
Otherwise, I just kinda.. hit them. Or not hit them. >_>

Hum... I personally think that leaving the sound ON is better. Here are a few arguments :

(against) I wonder if it doesn't add up to the stress. Some musics can give an stressful atmosphere during the part with the hardest arrows. This won't be a problem when you get used to it, tough.

(for) It helps learn a song by heart. Especially when a song has many rare-color-arrows (more than Blue and Red. Yellow, Purple, Pink, Oragne, Green, Light Blue and White). When you see colored arrows coming, you know the music will change, and eventually it gets into your head. You see the arrows, you know the music. You hear the music, you know the arrows.

(for) It let's you listen to the good music ! The songs on FFR are very nice. With a few exceptions. Of course, of you hate a song but want to finish it nonetheless, turning the sound OFF might be a good idea.

And another little thing. People have talked about diffferent keyboards having different response times, etc., but that never caused me any problems. I play at my house, at my friend's house, and at school with the same performance.

It depends; If its a offbeat song( Synth files is a good exemple ) i just turn off the music... But for the diff songs ++ i always listen to the music and follow the beat.

almost all the songs in this game are a little bit off the beat, i just hit as i see the notes.

i play to the rhythm i used to play to just by sight but i could not get good scores well i still can't get good scores but i get better scores playing to the rhythm

depends on the song, sometimes i play to the rhythm and sometimes i just hit the arrows as i see them
