yeah, I do it all the time. Doesn't affect my playing at all, because even when I'm concentrating I don't actively process the arrows...

      not really.

i always concentrate. SM doesn't matter as much cause combo doesn't mean anything...but ffr you can't miss :/

I am either in the mindset or not. I only play when I am in the groove, so that I don't frustrate my self. That means I always have full concentration when I am playing.

reach, in SM, the combo doesnt count towards score or anything?

No, the combo does ass. Nothing at all... aside from tell you how long you combo'd.

Alot of times yes. Too many distractions. Parents freaking out, people CONSTANTLY mesaging me when my stats are set to away, etc... so yeah, it's hard to find time to have complete concentration on the game.

i stare blankly at the screen, and i press the arrows even though i'm not actively thinking about it

concentration messes me up--it's kind of like art for me:

if i try hard to make a drawing look good in art and concentrate on it, it sucks, if i let my wander, it is like hax

You mean there's people that look at the arrows? pfft. I know I don't, I look at the pretty combo counter :P.

yeah i know what you mean...it happens to me often when you are just amazed youre actually hitting the arrows because youre mind is in a sort of unconcious state

The combo counter distracts me alot. In DDR, numbers of the combo appear BEHIND the arrows. In ffr, it appears overtop, so it kinda blocks the view sometimes. Hey, I should tell Synth about that...>.>

I do. My eyes kind of glaze over and I let autopilot take over...that's really when I got over my hump and started getting good, when I realized I could just let my fingers do the work. If I think about it I do really bad and my timing is way off.

I had a sweet long post made for this, but fuck it. Yes, I space out lok. Second thoughts on posting that reply I had ready.

I look at the timing window on SM. For FFR I look at the stationary arrows because it helps me get the perfects since the song isn't synced with the arrows.
