If you want to be technical, index is the only "correct" way of playing, because FFR is DDR for your fingers, and each index finger would represent its respective DDR foot better than any other method, 1 (lol), 3, or 4 fingered, would simulate DDR.

Actually, it would be one-handed, two fingers. In that playing style, both fingers are connected to one hand, just as two legs are connected to one body. But... who really cares.
