Even with all those 4 framers I found that sim easy to PA and fun.

Beaker Sunset wasn't bad but we really need more people to step his stuff.

I want to step the song right before beaker sunset but I don't know how good it'd turn out...

I wonder how many people it would piss off if I submitted a cut of Come Horn...

    I love FFRmas.

ITunes is wrong with Benn's stuff, apparently someone else uploaded it and he received no royalties. Go to the Alphamart (there's a link in Artist Permissions V2 I think) to buy the Alphabasic albums.

I read what you wrote. I meant to say I didn't recognize that part of the song from Super Mario Land 1, even though I played Super Mario Land 1 before... Therefore, I fail. I read all of the News and your posts on my subscribed threads.

Ok... I try to. I'm sometimes too sleepy to read. Like after playing 35 hrs or something...

Re: 2nd Annual FFRmas Discussion Thread

              Okay played today's files.

Pupil of Frenzy was pretty fun, I'm not fan of slow chains though. I've played it before on SM with name Lunatic Eyes, which name is correct?

Air Breeze, kind of fun but also kind of annoying, played a few times but ended up getting goods on the triplets too often.

Dragon's Bane was EXCELLENT, I love accelerating rolls, the music and the steps were very enjoyable, I got 5-1-0-1 on first go, 2-0-0-0 on 2nd (didn't record...) and because it didn't record I wanted to get a good score again and after many failed starts bam 2nd to AAA, pretty tricky parts so I'm proud of that.

Life Light, not too bad but maybe too similar to R176 somehow, maybe it's the music genre or fast tempo.

Re: 2nd Annual FFRmas Discussion Thread

Pupil of Frenzy - Touhou!!! Woooo!!! ...I thought this was enjoyable to play, but I was partially disappointed because the song has more potential. I can tell you were making it index friendly, though, and I have nothing against index files. Fun to play, but could be more technical. Beware of the white arrows.

Air Breeze - I didn't care much for this. Seemed to repetitive, and the steps weren't anything exciting and new. I don't really care for the song either. Not sure why, I kind of like wickedawesomeful's stuff.

Dragons Bane - The best file today, IMO. Good patterns, good variation, good song. I love 12th streams, especially pitch relevant ones. There was one spot I think you could have layered more, I think... but it's late and I can't remember anything. Also, the 24ths seem like a little much... I'm not sure if I should play this again. If anyone gets why, rofl.

I AAA'd Air Breeze, and Pupil of Frenzy first, which makes me awesome mirite? I got like 11-1-0-1 on Dragons Bane, because I was playing on my sucky computer, which likes to lag when there are a lot of arrows on the screen

                P.S. I hope I didn't say anything dumb, because I'm half asleep.

EDIT: O shi- another file. brb, playing!!!

                EDIT2:
Life Light - Much better then Sympathizer, and Ride Out, Cyanite. That's all.

Re: 2nd Annual FFRmas Discussion Thread

                  Day 5 - I can’t come up with a catchy title for today’s songs. :’(
Posted in FFR News, Flash Flash Revolution, Game Announcements, Simfiles, Song of the Week on December 18th, 2007

So, I’ll just get right into the nitty-gritty. Pupil of Frenzy is a killer progressive rock and touhou remix song by dBu. If you like Synaxis Symphony, The Brain of the Moon, or anything else similar… you’ll love this song. Even if you don’t… you’ll love this song. It’s long too, so there is a lot to love. Just a hair under 4 minutes. File is full of long 16th bursts, 8th chain sections, and even has a nice white-note gallop section. Comes it at a 9 in difficulty, stepped courtesy of Neonatrias.

There was a thread going around talking about the lack of in-house artists being featured in FFR recently. As always, just a coincidence… but we’ve got 2 featured in today’s songs. Air Breeze is a techno song by Wickedawesomeful and stepped by FFR’s 2nd most underappreciated stepfiler (next to Stargroup100), Vote4Nixon. If you need practice on short rolls, this is the song for you. It’s pretty much full of 3 note long rolls in succession. Comes in at an 8 on the Tass-O-Hard meter. Secondly, Dragons Bane is a wicked sweet (I’m not from Boston, I swear!) tune from DJSBX under alias D-Latch. Stepped by the master of the 12th note, hi19hi19, this song will have you playing it repeatedly, just to listen to it again and again. It’s also a bit tricky, with some 24th rolls at the beginning and end. Definitely a 9.

Finally, (yes… you get four songs… again. I think I broke random.org with all the 4s I rolled) our first song by ASK since Sympathizer way back in June. Life Light is a up-tempo (190bpm) song that’ll make you want to run and lift weights (at the same time!). Stepfile is by Cyanite, and it has 28 4-framers in it, most in the last 35 seconds.

Songs are in Hip-Hop… and darn am I tired. Night y’all.
                  -Tass

and sp1n: if anything, life light is like ride out. both are by ASK and both are stepped by Cyanite.
                  RIP

True I'm messing things up, musicwise after 300 notes it start to proggress into this happy Sympathizer style song in my eyes more than Ride Out in any case.

Question: Are we getting a 2007 SotY? I remember MAX Forever being last year's SotY, and I wanted to see another cool song as this year's song of the year.

Fantasia is a really awsome song...i think that it deserves a genre all its own: Happy Trance!

                                I thought it was MAMA.

Either way all of todays files were fun.

I really liked the dBu song and dragon's bane, the ending was epic.

Air Breeze was stepped really interestingly, not many files like that.
