Which is harder to master: FFR or Guitar Hero?

My friend and I got into an argument about which rhythm game is harder to master. What do you guys think about it?

Personally, I think FFR is harder. I've seen the Guitar Hero version of Through the Fire and the Flames. Yes, you only have 4 fingers to 5 keys and you must string, but the files don't compare to Piano Etude, OMW, GGC, FOTBB, etc.

I say Guitar hero cause you have to use your weaker fingers for it.

FFR has it's limits as of now because of the issue of "framers." Gutar Hero doesn't really have limits but each of the games can have as hard of songs as they want. If you look at purely how the game is played and the mechanics of it, Guitar Hero would be more difficult. Two fingers on each hand, or whatever method you use for FFR/Stepmania, compared to 5 buttons on one hand and the other being used to strum. In some instances with Guitar Hero, 5 buttons on two hands. That's my two cents.

if we just look at the files it comes with and not any added songs.. FFR is harder. If guitar hero had harder songs, of course it could be MUCH harder because of the 5 key set up with one hand. More dexterity involved, not to mention the speed at which you'd have to strum. i dunno though.. As it sits now guitar hero has no rating for accuracy so.. that definitely puts FFR ahead.

            FFR seems so much harder.

I don't think I've seen Vertex Beta streams on Guitar Hero.

I do agree on the hand setup is a lot harder on Guitar hero though.

Alright, took me a month to be able to do expert songs on GH, took me a year to have good PA and fc hard ass songs on FFR, FFR is harder to master..

O and yes there are VB patterns and stream in GH, Trough The Fire And The Flames(GH3), Play With Me(GH80's), Jordan(GH2)

The question should be changed to...

"Which is harder to master: One-handed FFR or Guitar Hero?"

GH is far more awkward, and I prefer being able to whore four units of input instead of 5. Call it lazy. Doing hard patterns with one hand is tiring.

                    too lazy to change anything

one handed FFR would be ALOT harder to master than GuitarHero

guitar hero has its parts as being a very hard game, but FFR does too. in comparison, i have to say, to MASTER properly, Guitar Hero. but to master to the limit of inhuman capabilities, FFR. so i cant really decide from one and the other..
                      Yep.

If there were options to make the note scroll go up instead of down, Guitar Hero would be easier for me than it is now. I just can't read the notes going down like that... Then comes my lazy fingers being used in the game... Trills that has to deal with Red and Blue buttons are sooo hard for me too.

All and all, Guitar Hero is way harder to master. You are concentrating on two things on this game (hitting and strumming a note, just like a guitar), while FFR is only one focus.

FFR. Guitar Hero is simple enough to learn, and the timing is really lenient. Not to mention the fact that there are only a few really difficult songs, while FFR has a lot more.

In comparison to a Master's+ song in FFR and an Experts song in GH, not only will it take coordination and technique to succeed in GH, but the ability to function your two hands differently. In FFR, unless you are a one-hander, your two hands function on the same task, so it is easier.

Maybe the reason why there are only a few difficult songs in GH is because it is just that difficult for alot of people? ;[
