use the mass of players as a tool, and next time after the tournament organizer is done with his work of sorting give a full week for appeals from the players to point out wrongs as a fine tune method and a tension building week

I dunno, probably though, considering you probably put anyone with even 1 tier point when people were assigned to divisions into intermediate.

david i am pure intermediate.

i have no lvl 9 AAAs
and there are alot of lvl 8 songs i cant get even close to AAA

whaddya know, i don't even have any lvl 7 AAA's (or 8, for that matter), and yet we're in the same division. you have 35 more AAA's than me, and 50+ more FC's than me. i'm not complaining. if you ask me, you do not belong in my division.

if you don't win the tournament, don't cry. i won't. i think what you're saying is that there are some people in intermediate who will dominate you, and you want to win the tournament - try your best, and push your limits. because against someone like YOU, that's what I have to do.

p.s. i second that 5th division. it's almost necessary because of all the entrants. it will take longer to organize - especially if you do the week of appeals (which is another fantastic idea) - but it'll make the tournament more pleasurable for everyone, heyitsmee included.

lol guys if I were put in the tournament, guess where I'd be. I'd be in intermediate. Go look at my stats and tell me you want to play against me. I see what foil's saying about being up against people who, at first glance, seem better than you.

But, I have more AAAs / FCs than foil and I know he could *probably* kick my ass in any given multiplayer match because he has more skill in reading / hitting patterns (what can I say, I'm a good masher with good timing ^_^). So it's not always as it seems.

That's the thing about the tournament; how many divisions do you want there to be? 23? Good luck sorting that out; you try managing a tournament like that. There has to be a best in each given division. If you're not it, tough luck, try again next time.

someone could easily get around any of the systems invented by whoring 150 games and having hardly any stats for any songs. they would be considered "bad" and put in the most novice of difficulties..which is completely unfair for the actual beginners. anyways, im in advanced for the 3rd tournament, and wasnt for the 2nd tournament on my other account which i stopped using awhile ago. so im not quite sure how they place you, because my other acct has better stats than this one. however, i dont have the Syage skill token unlocked on it :X

They place you based on your level rank stats/how many tier points you have...err, just read what tass said, earlier. But they are requiring a higher skill level to get into the same division each tourney.

i had 4 AAA's when they decided that i should be in advanced, just over 100 FC's, and probably not many tier points at all. my average rank sucks, because i refuse to play certain songs that just annoy me and are 100% not worth my time...so how did i make it into advanced?
