Anyone got any ideas or suggestions on how to make FFR lag less? Thanks!

*EDIT FROM SYNTHLIGHT* - Jecht, you have no idea what you are talking about. Keep this up and you won't have a place to talk about your false theories.Last edited by Synthlight; 09-20-2007, 01:19 PM. -

To be honest with you, I am only looking for suggestions that aren't already obvious. I mean like, someone uses such and such program to speed up processes or like a program that diverts more attention to flash, stuff like this.
I know it sounds far-fetched, but it's out there.

The problem lies mostly with connection. SO many people are trying to get something from a server, and the server can only put out so much. IF the problem lies within your computer, due to processing speeds, the just overclock your processor. Otherwise, get faster interwebz or buy Synth more servers and crap.Comment

Check out threads by MRichards. He wrote a program to smooth FFR. Needs a beefy comp (video card) though. Mine didn't work....To be honest with you, I am only looking for suggestions that aren't already obvious. I love bursting bubbles BUT most processors won't even allow overclocking + burning them up + won't even help. (check your cpu usage while playing its not cpu intense) . Also i can prove that its not internet lag slowing it downThe problem lies mostly with connection. SO many people are trying to get something from a server, and the server can only put out so much. Heres how i can tell start a mp game then disable your network connection and play the lag won't change.
last time i checked your client tells the server that you hit the arrow with a good miss perfect or boo. then updates to the other player and vise versa. SO the only lag you would see by having slow internet is the other player not hitting the keys with a pause then the combo popping up every so often when you finally recieve an update and vise versa there. So the server doesn't do any parsing saying if you missed or not that would be your client telling the server which means you can hit keys as the go by without the server making sure you hit them your client does all that,Last edited by -Trouble-; 09-20-2007, 10:26 AM.Comment

You may also try giving internet explorer a higher priority (task manager ((ctrl+shift+esc)) click processes find internet explorer or Firefox whichever you use to play the game and bump the priority up 1 notch don't bump it up more than 2 notches you will find yourself with some other problems.Comment
