You're lucky, you get speedmods now. I remember before speedmods I was terrible. Then as soon as they came out I started improving like crazy, using 1.25X but I slowed down for a bit, then I changed to 1.5X and I'm again improving like crazy. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't improve little by little, I just improve like an insane amount. Like overnight I just suddenly learned to do jumpstream well. It scared the **** out of me XD But cause of that, I got like over 100 tier points in the last week and a bit, I could've gotten them faster, but there's a little thing called school =P And I still have more to get.

Practice and you will get better. Look at my games played, it's a lot, and I suck compared to the number of games I've played, but I think I'm finally getting up there I guess playing 3-finger takes longer to improve than playing spread.

anyhho, you know the same things happen to me. I practice for like two nights straight xD but when i wake up the next day its like WOAH i can do that?! its awesome ^_^

Ok, I'v started playing with Q and W for Down and Left, also with [ and ] for Up and Right, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just trying to go from the far left to the far right. I just decided if I had all the directions on one row of the keyboard I woudn't have to do a little dance with my fingers.

But I'm still confused on some things, why does my brain function like a robot when it comes to Stepmania? It's like, when I go in a daze of some sort, my brain is automaticly pressing the right buttons and my real self is just panicking.

I'm also gaining strange habits, like when I'm playing a level like Roll's theme from Marvel VS. Capcom, I start turning my head to the left and try to go as far as I can with my neck. Or something else that puts me off, I'm always tempted to press the enter key or the key with the picture of a lock with the numer one nex to it (I'm on a laptop), or I'm tempted to press the = or the 1 keys sometimes.

Why is that? Why can''t I play perfectly comfortable without doing alianated thing?

Getting good at FFR dosn't come in a matter of weeks. You have to play more, try diffren statiges of playing, and play more challanging songs. Heak, I'v been here for 9 months and still suck.

they are all right!
it helps if you play ddr first though.
practice and dont just keep playing one song, you need to stretch your limits.

Yeah, seriously, the only 'speedy' thing about it was the jumpstream... I could play songs faster than that (emerald sword, one more lovely, etc.)
