    Stepping songs (Arrows)

Okay, I'm stepping an 11 song series... maybe 12 songs, gotta get the other one. I hope they are gonna make it on FFR. But that's beside the point. I wanna know how to make a white arrow step in SM. I like how they look and want to add them to some of my songs. I've tried pretty much everything and can't get a white arrow step to show up. Anyone have any advice?

    Isn't a white arrow a 126th or 146th or something from SM 4.0? I'm just guessing.

The maximum intensity of notes in SM is 192nds, because this timing fits all notes from 4ths to 64ths. They are supposed to appear gray in SM, but it doesn't work for some reason. Some 96ths that don't fit another note also are supposed to be gray. They will appear white in FFR. You have to hand-code them.

So is this possible in SM 3.9? Also, where can I find guides on coding the white 'Gray' SM arrows?

Yes. The best way to do this is to make a 48th note and a 64th note in the same beat, then open the SM file in notepad. Whatever measure you did this in should have lots of rows now. Each one of these rows now corresponds to a 192nd note.

Oh, and please make sure that they make some kind of sense to the music. A file with white notes everywhere for no apparent reason will be rejected.

Awesome dude, thanks, I'm gonna try it. Wow... this will make a few things a lil difficult, XD

Don't worry, it'll be on beat and correct.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. Once you're back in Stepmania, Reload from disk. This should make the changes take effect.

                    1. do not make white arrows just for the sake of having white arrows.

                    2. do you have PERMISSION for all of these songs you plan on submitting?

                    3. we request that new stepfile authors get someone to QC their files before submitting, to make sure they're decent and don't waste our time.

                    4. we have a 2 submissions per week cap.

                    5. files submitted to FFR must remain private. submitting them to the simfile db, any simfile packs, BMS, or any other place where they can be publicly distributed or downloaded immediately violates them from consideration to be in FFR.

                      1. Haha, okay...

                      2. I'm currently waiting approval of the stepping of the songs, for FFR anyway, otherwise I'll do them anyway

                      3. Okay.

                      4. As retarded as that is, I can go with it. XD *bannage soon to follow*

                      5. This makes sense, I can handle this XD
