Can we get more info on R3?

Estimated release date?
How it is different? (Does it have jack syndrome? Are the freezes, or mines? What is the frame rate?)
Will it have all the same simfiles as R1?
Will it have a random feature, to randomly choose a song?
Will some songs have multiple difficulties, like R2?
Anything else we could know.

I think they want to keep FFR different from SM, so don't expect freezes/mines, other than that I don't know much about it.

If a release date were given on 3rd style, the universe would implode upon itself.

It's best to just not think about it and let it be a surprise when it does come, because my guess is not soon.

1. No sooner than 2009.
2. Fixed jack syndrome, a brand new and improved interface with different menu music, new songs, including more purchasable songs, increased frame rate, (I'm guessing to 60, but the higher it is, the more work it will take them) and not likely freezes or mines.

4. They'll have probably added that before it comes out.
5. Not really, unless you count v2s, which there will be a lot of by then.
6. Its release date is not April 31st, as that is not even a real day. It will completely over right the current version of FFR, also. There is also a lot more neat stuff about it that they have yet to reveal, and some more that I know I've read before but can't really remember.

With speed mods, tokens... etc added in to r1. There wont be r3. Unless you mean that r1 will evolve and become "r3" or something along the lines. I believe Synth will take efficient path. Why build something from scratch if you already have something that is extremly popular? Improving it, is the obvious answer.

R2 I'm assuming was developed after R1. The logical idea of what comes after the sequence of "R1... R2..." is R3. Suddenly, R3 is announced.

Since R2 isn't the same as R1, it is to be assumed that R3 is completely different aswell.

Thing is, almost no one plays r2. All you see are SM and R1 brags.
Just surmise from that.

R3 presumably will be.

On whose presumption? Just ffr users spreading completly unfounded rumors with no facts to back them up. It's like fortune telling.

On the presumption that R3 be a seperate entity that will replace R1, similar to how Stepmania 4.0 will replace 3.9, etc.

And no, I don't know who came up with the term "R3". Far as I know, it's official, as I've seen admins refer to it as "Revision 3", which is close enough.

C'mon guys, get it right.

There is no "R3". R3 does not exist and there are no plans to make R3 exist.

It's called THIRD STYLE. Specifically, R1 Third Style. Second Style is the current FFR RI. R2 is unrelated.

As for all this stuff, I know most of the answers that aren't "release date", but alas...can't really say anything =P

I will say that at least a few things that have been said in this thread are either completely wrong or at least have a chance of being completely wrong.

it has 3 simfiles and submissions have been open for about 5 months
