IMO, I guess most people use this style:

LEFT: Left Middle
DOWN: Left Index
UP: Right Index
RIGHT: Right Middle

I use

LEFT: Left Middle
DOWN: Left Index
UP: Right Middle
RIGHT: Right Ring


Should I switch my right middle to right index and right middle to right ring, for the sake of finger strength? Because of that joint between the ring and the pinky, I can't really do trills with my right ring and my right middle.

I switched from that to Index right and middle right a long time ago and its worked ever since

Well, the human ring finger is very limited in movement, so I would assume eliminating it from your stance might do wonders for you..

I only sometimes have troubles on trills, I get them good most of the time though. Hell, I do worse on 424242 trills then 868686.

No, the way the ring finger is attached to the middle finger would make it VERY hard to do right handed trills for you. Sorry xD

No. Trill with your index and ring and see how much easier it is than middle + ring.

I tried that. I was doing better until my middle finger got jealous and shoved my ring finger off of the keyboard.
