    I cant WAIT for Tass to get back. JK and LD make them so hard. Of course they only make the songs i want most super hard to get. I want more things like lets see spontaneos hydroxi and Hellbeat v2 and Dazzling Destiny instead of Moonlight man and Zephon and all that crap.

      Different type of skill...give me a break...you don't get points for doing leisure studies homework in a physics class. This is FFR and and skill = doing well on a song not poorly D:

      I really agree with this. I'm getting sick of the atrocious number of skill tokens that arn't skill related. The whole point of the skill tokens are to show off your skill and be rewarded for it in a new and fun way...so whether the requirement is absurdly hard or easy it shouldn't matter as long as it's actually skill related -.-

      It might not even be that annoying to have *unusual* tokens here and there but the majority of the tokens are turning out to be non skill related and it shouldn't be that way.

        Only things I think good for skill token req are Hellbeat and Destiny.
        also, reqs like AAA, or under xx goods are ok for a standard reqs.

        But reqs like get exactly xx goods, or get MORE than xxx goods/averages/misses/boos are just retarded.

        Also is it needed that you have to set such a harsh req on not that hard songs like Zephon or Syage, or even Midnight?

          Very true. Skill tokens should require you to do something, you know, "with skill". Passing the Yoshi Bonus Round was probably the best one in my opinion. This actually does require *some* skill to earn.

          All true I think. 62 new skill tokens is nice, but if almost all of them are stupidly annoying to get, what's the point? Getting Calm N' Slow was one of the easiest skill tokens to get. You don't even need skill to get it.

            I agree with you 100,000%

            If anything though, the difficulty of the skill token should be dependent on the difficulty of the song that is to be unlocked- To get exactly 9 goods on Takecore for a song like Zephon? That's insane. To get Syage for getting over a 600+ combo on Piano Etude? That's like saying, oh hi here's a free AAA

            Don't get me started on Starman. Now, I really don't want to throw this out there since I like kgz and all, but I don't expect steps for a song like Starman to be all that spectacular

              Okay, so as far as I know--at least until Tass comes back--Antiskill token (tokens that make you do bad) releases are being outlawed for a while. We'll come up with some different ones till he does return, and discuss it more then.

              Note that reqs like Destiny do not count as antiskill tokens--only tokens that try to make you actually GET misses or boos, or averages and goods instead of perfects. As you can see, you can still have unique skill tokens and have them take actual skill at the same time.

                I agree with everything this thread has to offer. More PA based skill tokens. No more antiskill, as Shash calls them, tokens. More stuff like Destiny because that one is badass even though I can't do it.

                    I tl;dr'd the thread for the most part, but I saw jimerax's reply, so I'm going to reply to that

                    I think the requirements for Midnight, Zephon, and Syage are pretty much alright. Except for Syage, kinda, they all require some skill, while you also have the weird "MUST GET THIS CERTAIN SCORE" to get the token. It's the crazy get this number of whatever, but not nearly as extreme as most others.

                      Just thought of something that might be a good idea, you guys decide.

                      1.
                      We've had simple stuff like pass x song, or get x score or better on x song. Also stuff like get 40 credits. Why not have to use some of the mods. Pass x song with tornado. pass x song 3x. This could also be used with score x on x song with 2x or something like that. This would put some emphasis on trying all of the mods in the game, creating a new challenge.

                      Why not have people have to win a mp match to gain a token. Or to make things interesting, beat someone who is a higher level then them (only problem with this is that the #1 person couldn't beat anyone and imo should auto get the token for being the highest) This could also be done by beating someone who is xlevel which would make it possible for the higher ranked people so that they don't have to find someone ranked higher than themselves.
                      2b. Granted, these could be pretty easy to spread around, but think of the virus achievements that were introduced on xbox live. Start some of the mods/mp regulars with the token and have people have to beat them to gain the token. Sure, people will boost for the token but this will get people to play mp a lot more.

                      Sorry for all of the x variables, but I think that should be clear enough. What do you guys think?

                            Hey, multiplayer tokens are a cool idea that still involve skill.

                            Not sure I like the 'beat person of X level' though. This could get complicated given people know that they need to be beaten to get a token, there could be a lot of unfairness. I might be a bit biased, being level 43, but virtually noone will play me unless I don't speak so they can't see my level, and there's no way I can beat anyone of higher level D: (even though there is one person, he never logs on).

                              reach can't gain or lose MP level.

                              Under the current system it's effectively impossible to get to level 35 rofl, which is the minimum level to affect Reach's. System changing ftw

                              Skill tokens based on MP stuff aren't a bad idea, but they would take some time to implement, I think.
