I second both replies. I highly suggest you use 2 hands. Get Stepmania, go to http://www.bemanistyle.com and download some songs, and practice there.

Reading arrows faster is something that only comes with practice. On FFR, harders songs are even more difficult because the arrows are so clumped together that it gets to the point that it's near impossible to read the patterns.
But like everyone else said, get stepmania. It helps a lot in the long run =)

I like one hand, although most of the good players (Arch, Reach, Nima) use 2 hands. Moogy uses one hand though. Yes, we stand together!

And just practice. It's really the only way to get better, not doing finger push-ups or any retarded crap like that.

i cant do two hands. i cant find a position where i can hit all the arrows easily. i usually like miss an arrow that i think im hitting. i keep thinking im hitting up and left, but im hitting like left and down, so i get a million misses. i cant get it right. so i use one hand. i only use two like on aim anthem. thats easy to use two since its all fast.

i do use 4 fingers with one hand, and 4 with two...index and middle left hand on left and up, index and middle right hand on down and right. thats comfortable for me, but i cant get it.
