Is there any way to disable these? in several songs they distract from the arrows, and in many cases obscure them to the point of not being able to see what you are supposed to be doing.

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
currently there isn't but I expect that there will be a feature eventually to turn off the backgrounds, but probably not anytime soon.Originally posted by JemJem is my name. No one else is the same!

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
The background shouldnt be removed in Party 4u - HolyNightRemix V2.. it would be too easy otherwise
Originally posted by ilikexdYour strengths and weaknesses may never change, but they will still get better as you do, albeit disproportionately of course. You're bad at jumpstream, so just play jumpstream files. Play them for hours. Play ones you have to struggle to SDG, and play ones hard enough to make your hands and arms burn. Then play them some more. Then, the day after the next, play them again. If you aren't already doing this, you can't say you're stuck. Plateauing doesn't really exist, if you aren't improving it means you haven't put in the effort needed to improve, or your effort has been misapplied. It's more of a problem at really high levels, but never totally concrete.Comment

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
No it wouldn't. The song would just not suffer from Arrow Slowdown second time around. This would also give way to it being added on the TPL and besides, the song will still have those jacks to deal with.Comment

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
No one needs no backgrounds on older songs. If we could turn them off then a lot of songs would be too easy.

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
I think the idea that you need a distracting background to "make the song hard" is a little absurd. If the stepfile creator wants the song to be difficult, they should IMO make it -actually- difficult.
If it makes a few songs "easier" why is that actually a problem?Comment

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
So I suppose that backgrounds that are distracting and make the arrows near impossible to see are what's supposed to give a song a REAL challenge?
I agree with Devonin. If the artist wanted to make the song difficult, he would've made the file difficult.Comment

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
They requested it to be there, fair enough. If it -directly removes- from the ability of the users to actually play the song in a way that allows their skill at the game to be the determining factor in their performace, they ought to recieve a polite request to submit a less distracting image, or told that some users would like the ability to disable the image while playing the song.Comment

Re: Embedded song backgrounds
Lol, I just played P4U and had reverse arrow slowdown. There was no music and arrows went superfast XD
I thought it was pretty odd that every single background in FFR blends in with the arrows.Comment
