    Switching to two-handed

I've been a one hander for a long time but have reached my limit. I know I'm really not getting better by continuing one-handed because I can't be much faster. But I've never really tried two handed, so what style should I use?

      SPREAD

<- V 8 6 (Left and down on arrow keys, 8 and 6 on num pad)

Thank god, another person who's switching.

Exactly. And don't give up after a couple days saying "it's too hard". Dedicate at least 3 full weeks to spread before even think about going back.

I just use the arrow keys without much difficulty so I can play everywhere. SOmetimes spread though, even though my scores don't improve.

i'm starting to use spread too but at the moment i play mostly index. Index just seems the most natural to me.

Everyone does it their own way, but that is a common configuration. Many people use 8 and 6 on their num pad instead of the arrows to give the hands more space. Personally, I use hotkeys and assign zx./ for <v^>

Lol I read your thread. Beautiful.

Anyway, it took me 4 days to switch and just play naturally. You can't get very far with just one hand. I play with the arrow keys and in songs with a lot of jumps I play spread.

I support using the Edit Button. You should too.

                        On keypad? so technically <v^> = 4289?

Did you even read my post? Maybe a visual post may help.

I know it's a little tricky to figure out at first, but you'll get it...and then you will be able to count by 2's!

Ok, I'm really confused. What is an index finger? And why did you draw balls on a picture of a keyboard?

Just kidding. Thanks for the help.

Learning spread is a pain in the *censored* to be perfectly honest. I started out playing Index (still do play that way) because it felt the most natural. I keep trying to move to spread though, seeing as I won't be able to nail a lot of songs playing index. Just a bit daunting though when your scores go WAY down in the transition. XD
