No, they did it because it was a game. Plain and simple. Teachers and parents don't want kids playing games while they're supposed to be studying.

For me, the point is moot anyway...my school computers have uninstalled flash, and they disabled the ability to download anything, so I'm stuck with Java games and surfing the forums.

You guys are lucky enough to have quality PCs. We have soooooo many Macs that have the hardest time running FFR, yet they seem to run everything else faster than I've ever seen.

That's what a crapintosh is. If you're gonna do nothing but type up word and use paint, then a mac is perfect for you. They're the simplest, most user-friendly comp by far. But ask it to do anything complicated, and you might as well be using a Power PC.
