Sweet, even though I've had those for quite a while, and people were just complaining that we were getting new songs. I like it that now I feel the new subscriber songs should be just around the corner.

Honolulu was kind of slow and not that exciting, and Ruins is fun, but its minijacks are very annoying sometimes.

Both had bursts that killed my combo and Honolulu had some jacks. They were both ok I guess.

Honolulu was pretty easy ... game froze on my sightread that broke my combo, but I FCed with 7 goods the second time.

Ruins is insane ... jacks weren't too bad if you listened to the file ... good thing it wasn't off-sync. Highest combo on Ruins after three tries was 470-something ... =\

I stepped Honolulu for the song. It's got some pretty cool subtleties with pitch relevance and mild layering, though. Next file I submit won't be so easy, trust me.

Ruins is incredibly ****ing good. Maybe a little overstepped in parts, but that's the way it should be. Thanks for going out and getting permission for it for FFR, Jimerax

Honolulu is the best EVERYTHING on FFR. Period.

              And Ruins is good too.

Ruins is officially my favorite song on FFR.

I liked them both, not only because they were good songs, but because the rhythms were different from most FFR songs.

                    Re: SOTW # 2 & 2.5: Honolulu & Ruins

I didn't like the difficulty engineering on Honolulu (a few hard parts: the jumps with jack syndrome and the 24th stream, but then the rest is easier than SZR)
Not a bad song, it's just the file annoys me.

Ruins is good. Stepped very well. Not overstepped at all, the steps feel just right. The ending is a bit hard, and the jack syndrome is infuriating, but oh well.

Despite all my negative somments, though, I'll admit:
Boy am I glad to see somthing other than "olol 16thz in a different pattern!!!!!! hehe you gize havent seen that 9000 times before!"
Kudos to Jim and Danceguy for doing something cool and unique.

I'm not really going to be able to notice difficulty inconsistencies in files this easy. And does it really have jack syndrome? I thought it would be slow enough D:

The jacks in Ruins is fine. Only part that'll probably be like that is the end of the file.
Honolulu was simple enough to the point where I forgot if it had jacks in it.

Both Honolulu and Ruins are very fun, hehh...
The only thing I think that is wrong with the Ruins file... Is right before the part at the orange notes. The last foreground note before that part doesn't seem to be stepped.. I mean, theres a 4444 or however many lefts, when one of them should be an A (or B, which ever is a 4+6).
And also.. the begining has 16th notes then goes to the gallopy 12ths/24ths... The 16ths are correct, right?
I haven't played Honolulu in a while, hm..

Honolulu... AAAd. jacks are annoying, but it only took me 2 tries to do.

Ruins... down to 5-1-0-3. can probably still improve.

I liked Honolulu but... I don't know why but I don't really like Ruins. I FC'ed Honlulu on the first try though. =)
