If you play here long enough, you'll get the credits you need. The more you play, the sooner that will happen. Simple enough reasoning, and I doubt anything with the current system will change very much.
But I do feel that high-priced secret songs reward better play first, and more (by quantity or frequency) play second, simply because better players will gain credits faster. If a reward is meant to be for time spent here on the game, I would suggest considering something like total games played or average number of games played per month/year/whatever as the basis instead. These are measures of quantity and frequency, and skill is much less of a factor, if it's even involved at all.
