Re: 12 Songs of FFRmas Discussion
I demand we come up with a name for the pattern at the end of JS (found in many many many other songs, such as Moonbeam, Halogen, Pants, Gradeus, and Cutting Circles... to name a few).
I've already coined the "sandwich"... we must coin a name for this pattern. It is too difficult to constantly describe the pattern as "alternating 8th jumps with the non-jump directly below one of the notes in the jump"
I was thinking "Squares" or "Boxes", since if you drew a straight line through all of the arrows, every turn would be at a 90 degree angle. Anyone have something better?RIPComment

Re: 12 Songs of FFRmas Discussion
Can we just be uncreative and refer to it as a Tass, since you brought it up?
Edit:
Yeah, that works too...Last edited by DarkProdigy; 12-21-2006, 01:19 PM.Comment

Oh, I've always called those "transfer doubles." I strongly suggest you call them that because the double "transfers" to one of the notes. Duk's Delirium is a great example of the transfer.

I suggest we go by this terminology.Originally posted by itgfreak.comChain
A quick alternating pattern of jumps and taps. Each jump and tap in a chain is 'connected' by common arrows (for example, U+R, R, L+R, L, D+L, D)Comment

From now on I'm using "8th chains" to describe that pattern.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

I 2nd the 8th chain. It is now FFR Law. Time to edit it into the Picture Dictionary.
PS - sandwich anyone?RIPComment

Re: 12 Songs of FFRmas Discussion
Yo, just call it a chain. It's unlikely the pattern would ever be used for anything but 8ths, just like how a running man would almost always be in 16ths.

Re: 12 Songs of FFRmas Discussion
I wasn't complaining, just commenting. I know you need some variety and changes to make things interesting.
What's difficult depends on your ability level. I'm going to have trouble with some things that are easy for you, because I'm not that great. My viewpoint is different from yours and probably many others on the board. One reason I keep saying I'm not that great is so that everyone can keep it in mind when they're reading my comments.Originally posted by jimeraxPlus they aren't jumpstreams, since they are 8ths and neither fast nor long.
Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.
