    100% = all perfects.

If we're thinking of the same percentage number, it's a comparison of your total score to that of the highest scorer in the game. The 100% score should equal all perfects, as Kit- said. So unless you also hit all perfects, you'll get less than 100%.

Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.

um... ANY score over the AAA mark is deleted. EVERY score that is rank 1 is either a AAA or a score below a AAA. you get less than 100% because your SCORE is less than 100% of the score of the person in 1st place (usually, the AAA score).

Lets take... Fantranstic. It has 902 arrows. A AAA on Fantran is 902 x 1550 = 1,401,200. Why 1550? That is how FFRs scoring works, 1000xCombo + 550xPerfect. You get other stuff for goods/aves/miss/boo, but we're getting there...

So, the 100%, or AAA, score is 1,401,200. Now, lets say you get a FC with 4 goods. That would be 1000xCombo + 550xPerfects + 275xGoods. The easiest way to figure out your score is to note that each good is 275 points less than each perfect, and since we got 4 less perfects than the max, we get 275 x 4 less score, or 1100. 1,401,200 - 1100 = 1,400,100.

        Now... 1,400,100 / 1,401,200 = 99.92%, which gets rounded to... voila! 100%.

BUT... lets say you got 40 goods, instead of 4. that would be 11,000 less than the max, or 1,390,200.

1,390,200 / 1,401,200 = 99.21%, which would get ROUNDED DOWN to 99% of the max score.

I hope that explains everything you could possibly want to know about how the % of record holder is calculated.
