I'm going to play this song over and over in school today... Anyway, when this song was released last year, I don't think I was here. I think I got banned before I got to play it, so it's new to me.. And I found out about Captain Jack's death from DDR freak.. >_>

I love that song and was shocked to hear that he past away. Just wish that permission was used for this song so that Captain Jack will always be with us. The song and steps are vivid and fun to play but sorta hard to play knowing that he's gone. He will always be in our thoughts and so I salute to you Captain Jack. Carry on soldier.

I agree with Vivi, these steps are a lot more fun than all the speedy songs imo.

Because Reach wasn't looking for small irrelevant beats to make steps to, only the main ones (unlike in Lawn Wake IV). So it actually feels like you're playing TO the song.

Now would be a great time to reminisce about how much we've improved from last time this song was on FFR.

That's a good idea if you've improved a lot. :P I haven't. Sure, I'm generally doing better than last year, but not good enough to nail this song like some of you can. I also missed this song last year, possibly because my old computer got so bad I couldn't play FFR, so I didn't. That break could also be part of the reason I don't see the kind of huge improvements some of you do; I just wasn't playing. But you have a point that it can be good to compare current skill to past skill and see how you've grown over time.

Anyway, I'll comment that I do remember hearing about Captain Jack's passing last year. I don't really follow DDR/Bemani stuff, but Captain Jack's songs were some of the first ones that I really latched on to when I heard them. I was a bit sad when I realized he wouldn't be making any more songs. The music he has made will continue to be played and remembered though, so in a sense he's still with us and won't be forgotten.

The steps are a lot harder than the DDR version, but then again, it's also really hard to read with the white background.

i have to confess something... i killed captain jack. The day i bought ddr extreme 2, i tried his song "Captain Jack" and failed. Later that evening i found out he died...

When this first came out, I was very happy to FC it.

Now it's an easy AAA.
