Re: any point for arrow colours?
It has to do with what beat the note falls on.
Quarter notes are red
8ths notes are blue
16th notes are yellow
Everything else just approximates to the nearest 16th, although sometime in the near future other colors may be added for 12ths, 24ths, 32nds, and more.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

Re: any point for arrow colours?
Not always. 12ths are blue and 24ths are red, so a trill (that actually is colored) would go red red blue blue blue red [repeat]. But sometimes the converter is retarded and turns everything red. See Jelly Roll for examples of both.Comment

I'm fairly sure red note syndrome won't happen anymore with future files.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

Re: any point for arrow colours?
I actually like the red, blue, and yellow colors. I use note in Stepmania so it's what im used to. Although ... I do think 12ths and 24ths should have different colors then the 4ths 8ths and 16ths (if that was what you were referring to then sorry)
Are you referring to mines? If so, FFR has "boo's" which are basicly mines everywhere an arrow isn't. Also with FFR's C300 scroll rate it would be very difficult to read streams with mines.Comment

Will: the colors won't change... new colors will be added for the notes that currently don't have a color of their own.RIPComment

Re: any point for arrow colours?
As others said, the colors indicate where in the beat the note is. FFR was the first game like this that I played, and the easiest songs have all blue arrows. The first time I saw colors, it threw me off a bit. Once I got used to it, I realized that the colors can be pretty helpful. Not all songs use different colors though, so you've got to kind of keep an eye on things.
It would be nice for 12ths and 24ths to be different colors, but the red-blue-blue pattern dore mentioned shows that you've got triplets, so it's not too bad. When they all turn one color, it can become hard for me to follow, but I'm not that good (in general) either. For example, I can't do fast streams very well to begin with, so colors or not doesn't make much difference to me there.
Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.

Re: any point for arrow colours?
I second that, my worst nightmare is playing Vertex^2 Expert in my local arcade X.X; although it is fairly easy to *** in Stepmania.
I think the new colors for 12, 24, and 32 should be the SM note colors for them. Everyone loves note ^_^;Comment
