Play LFO. The head-pounding bass is orgasmic.

It dosent matter how good your music is as long as you score some good drugs.

Re: IM PLANNING A RAVE! I NEED HELP PICKING MUSIC!

Interesting, I just went to a rave last night and I spent three hours making a rave mix. Make sure you have some good X, Chicks that can give massages, and Plenty of Glowsticks [Chemical For Learners. Battery with no cap [Beams come out the ends] for more experianced, Either on rubber strings and 2 per hand for masters], strobe-lights, and black-lights. Then get a Mix with these songs:

              KEY
              [*****] = Master Raver's Only!
Don't even attempt if you're a newbie to Raving, you'll get owned and your rave will go nothing to the song if you aren't a master raver. Must be on some type of Stimulant (preferably XTC). If You are on X, and someone does these songs awesomely good for you, there's about a 50% chance you'll cum in your pants during the blow-up. Double X glowstick setup, or Rave stringed sticks only.

              [****] = Very difficult.
These are a good deal easier than the masters only songs, but are still very hard. Major experience needed to look good. Amazing Blow-up's if done correctly. Eyes All the way in the back of your head type of ****.

              [***] = Average.
Anybody who has been to at least 5 raves can do these easily. Awesome for people rolling for the first time at a rave. Can definatly Blow-up People, but not as intense as the first two.

              [**] Easy.
Anyone Rolling can make this look great with ease by the end of the night, usually a lot slower paced songs, but can be very awesome when your "going down a hill". Semi-Difficult to blow up on. Usually very trancy songs.
              [*] Beginners.
Sober people can Pick up glow sticks can rave to these songs. Not many in this pack, due to the fact I have extensive rave expereince. You don't even know how to do basic moves (8's, Roll's, ect.) and you can still rave to it. Awesome for first time ravers around other first time ravers. Nearly Impossible to Blow-up.

              [$] MUST HAVE!
Even just listening to these songs while watching a strobelight will **** you up (when you're rolling).

              [~] Girls needed (if Rolling)
Massageing/Naked girls are a must for full effect on these songs.

To add music by authors not on FFR...
(I don't know what you're looking for in terms of a rave, how into the "rave" mood you want it to be. These represent a variety of styles, moods, and drug requirements, I'll just label their subgenres.)

                            Marcel Woods - Advanced <trance>
Ferry Corsten - Whatever (Marcel Woods Remix) <trance>
                            Infected Mushroom - Cream <psytrance>
The Prodigy - Voodoo People <drum and bass> [the MOS Maximum Bass disc has a great remix]
Randy Katana - Play it Loud <trance>
Sunport - Follow Me (Vendex Remix) <trance>
                            Daft Punk - Superheroes <club>
Pendulum - Fasten Your Seatbelt feat. The Freestylers <drum n bass>
Benny Benassi - Turn Me Up (Sfaction Mix) <club>
Benny Benassi - I Love My Sex [pick one Benassi song, any two will sound more or less the same] <club>
                            Bart Claessen - Playmo <trance>
Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At <electrofunk>
[caveat emptor on these next five]
                            Madworld - Forever Young <poptrance>
Cascada - Every Time We Touch <poptrance>
4 Strings - Take Me Away (Into the Night) <poptrance>
DJ Sammy and Yanou Feat. Do - Heaven <poptrance>
Blümchen - Heut Ist Mein Tag <poptrance>
Benny Benassi - Rocket in the Sky <club/poptrance> [not included in the Benassi rule]
Alec M. Vs. Marc Van Damme - Technodisco <trance>
Kliprock & Rob Devs - Organics <techno> [I don't like pure techno... so maybe I'm a poor judge here]
Snap! - Rhythm is a Dancer <trance> [lol]
                            Phunklarique - On a Higher Level <house>
                            Dogzilla - Without You <trance>
                            Coburn - We Interrupt This Programme <house> [you'll need a cut/remixed version]
Adam White and Andy Moor - The Whiteroom <trance>
                            Aphex Twin - ****-ver10 <acid> [for variety.]
                            ATB - 9 PM (Till I Come) <club>
                            Lost Tribe - Gamemaster <trance>

Other than that? There are torrents for albums like Classic Euphoria, Trance 2006, and the Ministry of Sound albums Maximum Bass 1+2, Dance Nation, Trance Nation, and their annuals.

PS, I can't find any big raves in the boston area, if anyone can help. I'm looking to go to an actual rave on my 18th birthday instead of just mixing little mini-raves for people.

[edit]the only reason I'm posting here is that every time someone makes a thread like this, I don't respond. So I'm finally responding, even though it's not in Static Junglegym.
