    Etude to a dragon.

By far, I think this is the worst song in the history of music. I will never play this song again. The difficulty once again is wrong, but that is not the issue here. I mean, it sounds like a freaking 2 bit sound with no drums or any up tempo to make it sound fast. I rate this song so bad, I give it a -1 out of 10.

I have a wierd taste of music. I can listen to every genre of music in this entire world. The only thing about it is that I like only specific songs. I might like Neomax from DM Ashura, but I might say I hate Max Forever from DM Ashura. It really depends on the beat.

I like it. I like what Draigun does. I'm happy i'm in the top 10 right now . Not sure how long that will last though, lol.

Pretty good song. Was not happy with the steps. Seemed kinda wishy-washy.
Kinda like Moogy couldn't decide whether he was putting arrows to the bass or the melody. Then there was the jump stream, which, in my opinion, can never be done very well at all, regardless of song.

Well, I tend to be more on the synth side of production rather than the percussive. It's just been my style ever since I started working in FLStudio about two years ago. I try and keep my music at a slow pace, but with a hard style. Some people tend to like it, others don't. I've got many projects sitting around with some pretty good beats (PROGRESSION.zip, anyone?), but I just haven't been able to get them into any kind of song.

I guess to sum it up, although I've been venturing into the higher BPMs recently, I feel comfortable sticking to a mellow tempo. Not every song in the world has to be drive-you-insane-fast (although it does make for a good time). My synths outweigh my beats, but that's not always a bad thing, either. It just depends on what you like.

Thanks for checking it out, anyways.. and thank you for your comments.

The best part of the whole file is the name XD

Jumpstream would be more fun at higher BPM. 140 is meh.

                  to = for

i named it etude for a dragon on the dwi but apparently LD is dumb

Also, at the beginning, it alternates what it's going to. It goes to the melody (staggered notes), then to the percussion/backing stuff (the 8th jumps).

PS: There's a slowdown at the end which is why there are random 12ths/24ths.

Song is awesome, steps were great until the streams came up and just was like..random, but not in a fun way.

                          Re: Etude to a dragon.

Hmmm... that has to be one of the most random jumpstreams I've ever seen. The only emphasis on the beat during that portion was my keytaps. I listened without the keytaps (only for a few beats, granted, as the whole failing thing came into play) and the offbeats were emphasized, but not the beat. Of course, there always is the possibility the Flash choked off some of the sound- if that's the case I apologize- but still, I cannot fathom any way that jumpstream was a good idea, or technically sound.

I liked the song itself, but I'm not exactly sure why it was stepped this way. If it was just the eigth note jumps, it would be a good easy file, but the jumpstream both made the file unnecessarily difficult* and made it so that it made little sense.

*Not that I find the steps difficult, I just think the song would be better with steps more suited to beginners.

I liked the song and the steps. Jumpstreams are one of my favorite patterns, I just avoid them like an archowl in my simfiles because I know everyone gets all anal about them. laughsitup, I don't know what you have for speakers, but even the flash compressed version of this song is pretty kickass, and I could hear the beat and mellody every step followed. Stop assuming people invent tunes to put arrows to. Give them some credit. Flash compression sucks, don't blame it on the artist.

PS not a bad job stepping to the slow down at the end. Caught me off guard though. I AA'd then missed the second last arrow.
