FFR does not register keystrokes on 1 arrow perfectly. As such, you will sometimes hit the jacks properly, yet either miss 1 or not get perfects on all of them. Certain songs, because of how fast the jacks are, are impossible to get all perfects on. FFR just can't register the keystrokes fast enough to give you a perfect for each note. As such, you have to hit them slightly off, and you'll wind up with at least 1 good.
when you talk about comparing screenshots, does the physical distance apart on the screen determine whether or not jacks can be perfected...or does the beats per minute of the song also factor into this? cuz if a song were 30 beats per minute itd be pretty easy to hit those 100BB jacks perfectly, unless of course the distance is too little for them to register correctly. just wonderin... nice thread

To make Tass's explanation a bit more clear:

Say this is your timing window.
(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
...............................................(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
This is easy to AAA, because the windows don't overlap by much. Ex: Anything without jacks
(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
..............................(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
Still AAAable, because there's still some of the first step's perfect window outside of the second window. Ex: Runny
(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
................(....A....(....G....(....P....)....G....)....A....)
Impossible to AAA, because you have to hit the first note before the window of the second note, otherwise FFR thinks you're hitting the second note. The entirety of the first perfect window is in the second note's window, so you can't hit it no matter what. Ex: Caprice
