I use the one handed way of playing the game ( index hits left, middle hits up and down, ringer hits right ) and im in the top 1k. Number 480 to be exact. I dont know why people see it as a handicap..

Your rank, as you probably know, is not affected by your skill. It's by how many points you accumulate during the time you have started FFR.

People see it as a handicap because its just the normal way for a new person to play.

I suck at FFR one-handed, but I'm decent at SM one-handed.

i usually play w/ two hands now. but bak then i used one hand like u. i stopped because of the cramps. ur arm hurts like hell!!!

I started four-fingered, immediately recognizing that would be the easiest way to do really hard charts.

I dont get cramps either, unless i play a level like Rondo Alla Turca v.2If your arm hurts its a signal to stop playing for a while common sense.. my friend got carpal tunnel from playing FFR

I've always been a four-fingered, two-handed player. Unlike most newbies, I felt comfortable with this setup when I started almost a year ago. I've since experimented with one-handed the way you do, Digi (for some reason, this style works better for me if I'm using a laptop, which is notorious for having the arrow keys close together), and for a short time I even dabbled in playing R1 with the mouse, clicking on the targets when the arrows hit them. It's probably the closest I'll ever come to indexing. Naturally, the mouse style and a laptop don't mix, though.

most of the keyboards i use r ok fer me to play two fingered, two handed. but sum r kinda hard to use because of the stiffness of the keys. i need a good, sensitive system to use. i dont mind the 3 fingered, one hand situation, but now im gettin harsh cramps and cant play to my full potential. im worried the pain will cause some carpal tunnel syndrome or swelling in my arm. (my right hand is ten times more useful than my left, so i cant afford injuries) does this happen to u people?
