I blink all the time, but I never notice it, it never really bothers me, though, I don't play those crazy hardcore songs that some of you guys do.

I'm gald to see that it helped! I hope you'll spred the word on refresh rates, and save the world a couple headaches. Speaking of headaches, yes, most Schools/Industries dumb-assedly run thier CRTs at 50h/z, not knowing how much they are huring thier employees/students eyes.

Watch out though!!! If you do use refresh force, (the program mentioned in my post above) don't go too high. Older monitors fail if pushed beyond a certain point.

Sharshot, just to be safe you might want to tone that down to 85 or 100. Also, using the program in my above post, you can manually set the refresh rate in other programs if you are having similar problems.

I actually noticed that. On my laptop I get like 50, but on this I get 85, my eyes hurt on the laptop.

on some old computers, when the refresh rate is low,
if you stick your tongue out and blow out letting your tongue vibrate, it makes your eyes kinda vibrate, and you see the screens jump up and down

my comp sci lab has a bunch of really old computers, because we dont do any high tech programming, so one time i did it, and every computer in the room had their screen jump, i was like whoa, magic, except then i realized it was the slow refresh rate

yeah anyways, i just blink during the song, it doesnt mess me up

RE: Re: RE: Blinking and FFR/SM

I was actually thinking about this topic when i was playing about 20 minutes ago. I was playing Emerald Sword...and during one of the streams i had like an 800 something Combo. and my eyes started gettin watery because i went swimming earlier and they're kinda red from the chllorine n shit. so anyway i blinked, and it fucked up my combo. What happens when i blink is my eyes lose position of where they were focused on the screen. and thats important when it comes to my gameplay. If i focus on the center/lower portion i do better. So when i blinked, i had to quickly find the spot i was staring at again and it messed up my combo cause i didnt see a couple arrows fast enough and yeah. Thats why i don't blink during the game.
