    Losing musicality in step files?

O.k. so I sat down today popped to my secret page 2, opened end night and realized the step file to that song has nothing to do with the song. It starts matching for maybe 2 measures then gets the last gliss right and for the whole rest of the song its just whatever imposably difficult thing he wanted to put in. Do any of you feel that lately FFR songs have been shying away from the actual songs because the elite group thats making them just want to put up new challenges for each other while leaving the intermediate players who can't quite figure out those 2 minute random runs?

Not every song has to be perfectly synced to every beat. Random stuff can sometimes make stepfiles much more fun.

I know that, like I love force of light cuz they use off syncing to progress the beat, but alot of songs just go on off synced tangents.

They're just basically fillers to keep the song active and not boring.

For the most part all of the steps go to the song, it takes a keen ear to hear some of the sounds, but they are there. Of course there are some songs with filler steps, but a lot are IKVAS style.
