    RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Names for patterns?

    Here are all the patterns I know.
    8 = up
    4 = left
    6 = right
    2 = down
    (check numpad)
    42424242... = trill
    42864286 or 68246824 = staircase steps
    22222222... = jackhammer
    428682428682 = sweep steps (my term for it, play chrono trigger in arcade section)
    42862846824826 = candle steps

    That's about it.

      Your logic is retarded. Yes FFR is a simulator, but since it's on a keyboard, the same rules don't necessarily apply. Yes, you can in fact have a triple without having three legs believe it or not.

        I'd like to see you prove that and get solid perfects and FC on DDR. .mpg format only, please.

        P.S. Thank you for making your last post a little less harsh. I try hard not to be sarcastic/blunt, but it's just the way I am, I guess.

          Like I said, this is FFR. Your keyboard will be used to play this game. I was referring to triples on FFR, not DDR. You don't have to follow rules for feet when you don't even use your feet.

            RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Names for patterns?

            Mindfields, FFR is somewhat a DDR simulator, but it is also partly it's own type of thing. Yes, there were Trips and Quads in FFR, but FFR isn't the rule setter. It can be done, it has been done, and it will continue to be done. Stepmania still does it. Just cause you don't see any of them doesn't mean they don't exist. A lot of the rules of Pad-dancing are thrown out. I don't see you saying that these songs are to fast, and so should not be on here, so don't say something doesn't exist until you have facts.

            And I call 1-2-3-4-3-2-1-2-3-4 Staircases also.

            And yes, I have tried trips on a pad, and they aren't pretty. That doesn't mean they can't be done, but I would say you owe fusi0n an apology, because if you had done your homework, you would know that the same rules dont apply.

              I've never been able to play Stepmania because I don't have the right kind of video card.

                I cant believe nobody mentioned triplets! 131, 242, 323, 121 etc... Most of the terms come from instrumental music. Anything that has a name in music like trill or triplet probably has a FFR counterpart.

                EDIT: nvm, somebody mentioned them

                      1-2-3-1-2-3 should be like short roll, or quick roll
                      1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2 should be short staircase, or maybe small staircase

                        Here's my take on it:

                        1234- roll
                        1234321234321- staircase
                        12121212- trill
                        11111111- jack
                        121121121- running man
                        123423123423- candle method (I think)
                        12342314321324- double candle method (I think again)

                          If you ask me, iopg, you should've used the keypad terms (2,4,6,8) for clarity.

                              Look. A running man is the same as a tril.

                              Tril/Running man: 6464646464646464646464
                              Although I usually call all such cases "running man"s and I only call it a trill when it's done with one hand (ie 6868686868 for 4 finger players)

                                umm, no. A running man is a series of 1211211211, a trill is 121212121. Not the same.
