cant get simfiles to download

in the "non-ffr simfiles" section, i downloaded some songs then they came up as zipped folders, so i opened the folders and there was nothing in them. what the heck is wrong with this picture? and no, this shouldnt be in the noob forum, because its not a noob question, this could happen to anybody.

Use Internet Explorer to download simfiles.

If that doesn't work, might as well your check router and/or firewall.
