Breaking through into the "Upper Echelon" [how?]

In my current stage of developing my skills, I feel like I can consistently FC anything below 85ish. However, I don't think I can realistically AAA anything above 70 yet because I seem to always drop single digit goods and boos. Is there a specific method any good players used to learn how to develop greater accuracy? Or is the main surefire method just to learn from grinding and playing?

First, check if your bad accuracy is caused by your lack of skill, or by something being wrong with your polling rate (is the issue caused by your keyboard? your frame rate? having v-sync on?). If your accuracy is fine, then it's a matter of playing more (hopefully play more different songs), which results in developing more speed, stamina, pattern recognition, or all of the above. Try to play stuff slightly above your level, but avoid mashing. Or play stuff slightly below your level for those AAA's. Make sure you change your game settings that's most comfortable for you. Your current scores make me think that you are low D4 (Level 60-ish).

(i think i also handicap myself by playing spread, however i think my main issue is im just not good yet, but ill stick to getting more consistent on lower-level charts)

you (almost certainly) did not handicap yourself by playing spread, spread is the meta and it is what is best for probably over 99% of the playerbase

FFR is a pretty good place somehow.

The game also tends to require a lot of time and practice in various different skillsets to improve drastically. Your account is rather new, if this is your only experience playing 4key, its pretty natural that its going to take a decent chunk of time to build the physicality and consistency required to do harder stuff. It takes years for most people to get into the higher-end stuff and even the explosively improving zoomer god gamers tend to take months before they're getting there. patience and practicing consistently is important. If you try too hard to rush into things harder than you can handle you'll risk building bad habits and harming your consistency / accuracy in the long term or (much worse) you could end up hurting yourself.

I'm not really at that Level yet, but its really just trial and error/practicing ALOT. The more you play the better you will get. Just make sure to take some breaks lol
Mess with speedmod, noteskin, and other settings until you feel comfortable. Play like that for awhile or until you feel you aren't making progress and then switch it up again.
I used to play with my speed at 2.65 but i ended up plateauing for a few years...so i ended up going down to 1x speed with a screen cut and it helped MASSIVELY with my reading ability and overall progress. I slowly started moving it up and messing with noteskin and settings and i went from level 87 to 94 pretty quickly.
It takes time for most people, don't feel like you need to improve extremely fast because chances are it won't happen.
Oh yeah, DONT mash, ever. It just creates bad habits and muscle memory that you don't really want.

Edit: To help with accuracy specifically i feel like it really does help to turn on "amazing" accuracy in the settings if you don't have it on already. That way you can play easier songs and kind of gauge if you need to hit later, or earlier. Doing that made my accuracy go from trash to pretty good in about a week.
