back in 2014, I remember I was in my basement, playing ffr, and was unable to pass difficulty 20+ songs. I typed a lot on the forums, and eventually got banned for being underage. I set a date somewhere for when I would bee finally able to type on the forums again, and I forgot about that, so it has been a year and a half, but I am happy to report my quiet unban. <3
how long it's been.

Re: how long it's been.
congrats!!
i find the age req for the forums to be dumb tbh. almost a decade ago (oh shit it's been that long) i signed up for a site called whirled.com even though i was underaged. i just kept my age a secret and avoided the age ban hahaOriginally posted by MixMasterLaris funny eaman?

Re: how long it's been.
I think all of us find the age req to also be dumb. Unfortunately, ignoring US Federal Law seems like a stupid choice to make. Our hands are tied, so we make it as clear as possible.
Having had to ban somebody for being underage just the other day, somebody who was an active part of the discord community, really sucked. Several of us make a point whenever we can to make it clear that if we KNOW people are under 13 we have no choice, with a heavy wink-and-nod towards your solution of just -not saying you're under 13-
We absolutely do not go out of our way to find out whether people are under 13, just don't go around going "hey guys I'm 12!" and everything is fine.
Also, wow Whirled. I was years into Puzzle Pirates before they opened up Whirled.Last edited by devonin; 04-12-2019, 10:14 AM.Comment

Re: how long it's been.
No, I'd largely already quit Puzzle Pirates by the time Whirled came out. I played Y!PP in late Alpha/Early Beta up until like, mid 2007, and Whirled didn't even get announced until 2007.Comment
