    Songs that are off beat!

Lately I have been having problems with some of the FFR songs being horably off beat and it sucks really bad.

    Any solutions?

I haven't noticed any songs being that terrible, but I've heard others say that some of the songs are off beat. I don't think there's anything you can do about, that's just the way they're synchronized. Hopefully future versions of the game will take care of this problem, but for now I think you just have to live with it. Either adjust to the off beat arrows or don't play the songs if you think they're that bad.

Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.

Just glitches... calm down, everything will be fine when R2 comes, this question has been asked before, next time before you post a thread like this, search the first couple pages of threads, you'll most likely find something.

I do agree though, some songs for me are terribly offbeat both in high and low quality. I try to imagine the tick in my head but it becomes an nuisance when your imagining it and fighting off the song you are hear. Mute is beginning to work wonders for me.

There is a low frame rate, which will change with R2. Also, the timing system is set by using the frames. That is being changed to milliseconds in R2. When those changes are made, there will probably also be note color codings, and so you will be able to see if a note was set differently than you thought. Just do what you can.
The higher people don't seem to have much of a problem. Think of it as a test in sight reading, instead of just following a rhythm.

Wont miliseconds be a bit harder than frames? What if someone gets fps lag . Heh, either way I figured out how to read the arrows instead of the beat. And to give credit where it is due, there are some AWESOME stepfiles in this game.

Most of the better players have been here longer and had a lot more time to get used to the off beat-ness of the songs, too. :P It's not exactly easy, for me at least, to ignore a strong musical rhythm/beat and hit these arrows ever so slightly off rhythm. I have been trying to adjust, but a lot of times if they're not isolated notes, I lean in favor of the music and end up with a bunch of goods and averages (if I hit the notes) because they're not matching the rhythm like they should. Slightly off beat runs will almost always kill me, I think. I'm sure the problem will be fixed eventually, but I kind of hope it's sooner rather than later.

Colored arrows -- I see how that visual clue could help. But it's funny. Almost all the songs I've played are flat, all blue arrows, and I've started getting used to it. On occasion when I do play a song that's got colored arrows, it sometimes throws me off because I'm trying to add in that info and I'm not used to using it. Well, when more games have it or I get good enough to play more songs with it, I should start to get used to it and adjust.

Having little experience with these kind of games, I'm not sure how awesome the step files are. But they are certainly fun. I"m working my way up from the easier ones and there's been enough of a challenge that I have to practice to get better scores. I'm sure it's harder at higher levels, but it should still be fun. I mean, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't stick around very long and I'm still here (time permitting).
