skill rating

im not sure i understand skill rating. im ranked at about 200 in my nation for almost every leaderboard and 300-500 globaly while my avg. rank is 1050s and GT rank 1606. how do i get my skill rating up. as a 10year vet im near ready to quit this game because of my rank being 9104........ :/

What are you not understanding?

Your skill ranking is derived from your 15 best scores. At the moment your top scores all seem to have been obtained around 9 years ago, and are somewhere in the vicinity of SDGs on songs in the 30s and 40s.

If you want your skill level to go up, log some solid scores on higher difficulty songs.

Avrank is your average rank on every song. The reason that is "higher" than your skill rank is that many many players don't play every song. Extremely high-skilled players especially don't bother playing songs in the lower difficulties, which means their average rank is lower than it would be if they did.

Grand total is purely a function of how much you've played and does not communicate skill.

average rank is based on your placement/rating across all public songs

grand total rank is based off of just that, grand total that is shown in the top-right of the webpage. A sum of all scores accumulated.

skill rating is based off of PA Value and a weight system designed to highlight your best obtained scores in the game. You can overview your specific scores at this URL, along with the imposed weights on how well the score is compared to others. It updates from time to time, but if you think you have way better scores or think the system is just not updating, you can visit http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/leaderboards/ and click the green refresh icon next to where it says "useme99999's Dashboard" to manually update it.

Should also add that the 'PA Value' system, REALLY REALLY likes near perfect, or perfect scores on songs.

So that's a thing as well if you want to boost rank fast.
