Been Gone For a long time.

I'm dissapointed to see that a lot of stepfiles these days have inflated difficulty by just placing a bunch of arrows in the same directions in a row... it takes so much of the fun out of it for me. then theres the stepfiles where theres a bunch of jumps for seemingly no musical reason.... is this just an arrow sightreading game now?

Typically jacks ("bunch of arrows in the same directions in a row") go to a repeating note/sound in the music. It makes it more difficult but it's not fair to dismiss it as "inflated difficulty". Everything in a stepchart inflates difficulty, really.

The files released these days are the highest quality in terms of "musical reason" in the history ffr tho

Has FFR ever involved... not reading arrows? What exactly would you prefer instead?

I'm dissapointed to see that a lot of stepfiles these days have gotten harder... I really wanted to come back to a skill based music game and have the same experience as I did 10 years ago.... then theres the stepfiles where people use more arrows for more sounds??? is this a game about tapping arrows now?

Even worse is when they have the nerve to put three arrows at the same time, like a super-jump or something! Since when could FFR do this?!?!

post-dumps abstractly represent the existential nihilism that the song invokes in the listener with negative space, evoking the ephemeral nature of the mind - the journey of stepmania begins in hope yet soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of dread and the unlikelihood of a new synthesis
